Build a content opportunity and briefing pipeline with n8n

Create a n8n workflow that surfaces competitor content gaps, scores topic opportunities, and generates structured briefs automatically.

Topics covered:

  • Connect competitor content sources to n8n as automated inputs
  • Build a topic discovery workflow that surfaces competitor content gaps and trending discussions automatically
  • Use an n8n AI Agent node to cluster topics by intent and generate a scored opportunity list
  • Generate structured content briefs from the opportunity list, ready to hand to a writer or use directly
  • Schedule the workflow weekly with a Slack or email digest of the top opportunities

Outcome:

  • n8n workflow JSON: content discovery and topic scoring (trend monitoring, AI clustering)
  • n8n workflow JSON: automated brief generation from topic list, with Slack or email delivery
  • Prompt library: topic clustering and brief generation prompts

Automate content repurposing and distribution across channels

Create a n8n workflow that turns one piece of content into multiple formats across channels without manual steps.

Topics covered:

  • Build a repurposing workflow: one piece of content in, multiple channel formats out, with structured prompts per format
  • Build a distribution workflow: publish to channels without manual steps at each stage
  • Handle format-specific rules in the prompt layer: character limits, tone adjustments, CTA placement per channel
  • Combine Sessions 1 and 2 into a full content pipeline where discovery and briefing feed directly into repurposing and distribution

Outcome:

  • n8n workflow JSON: content repurposing (blog to LinkedIn, email, and social) with format-specific prompt library
  • n8n workflow JSON: distribution workflow that publishes across channels without manual steps
  • Prompt library: repurposing prompts per channel
  • Full content pipeline connecting Sessions 1 and 2
